The LightHawk DLG is an advanced competition class discus launch glider. The design parallels the Super Gee II discus launch glider. Parts for the LightHawk are interchangeable with the Super Gee II.

Detailed Information

You'll find the plane kitted at a high level of completion. The wing is bagged in one piece -- no joining. The boom pylons are installed and pre-threaded. The stab mount is installed.

A two-piece wing variation is available. The-two piece winged kit is $450 (less $49 as compared to the one piece wing kit). We offer this variant to help international customers who would like to save on shipping.

LightHawk Status
RC Builder is now in production, crafting the LightHawk DLG in all Kevlar. The LightHawk is a Super Gee II clone using commercial materials and methods. If you would like one or more LightHawks, order in our store, specifying options and throwing side. We will make your glider as specified. Orders ship in sequence of date received.

Design Notes: Version II has a different wing planform of slightly larger area, different fusepod, similar tails, slightly higher all-up-weight, but about the same wing loading. Version II offers a tool-free, field-swappable ballast system option.
