LightHawk DLG

The LightHawk is patterned on the SuperGee II, with all shapes and proportions of the original, and a few modifications to make it commercially reproducible. It has all Kevlar skins on CNC-cut cores, an ultralight fusepod, and foam composite tails.

In the kit all airframe components are completed, and much of the plane comes pre-assembled. A comprehensive online assembly guide helps you finish this superb competition class glider and get in the air quickly.

For scratch builders who want to buy some parts of their glider, all parts are interchangable with the plan SuperGee II.

LightHawk wings come in two forms: A one piece wing joined during manufacture, and a two piece wing for easy shipping to any country. Either way, the tail surfaces are made with foam and composite construction.

LightSpeed DLG

LightSpeed is a high aspect ratio, low drag, high performance DLG. It is extraordinarily lightweight at an AUW of ~7.5 oz. The wing is available in one piece format only.

Super Gee II DLG

We are working on a Builder's Guide for the Super Gee II. In this ongoing project we are creating step-by-step instructions, documenting alternate methods of construction, and promoting all the cottage builders and plane builders. In this way we hope to further interest in building advanced design RC sailplanes.

Plans, parts, materials, kits, and planes relevant to the SuperGee II are available from a number of vendors as well as in the RC Builder store. You will also find links throughout RC Builder presenting the many sources with materials and parts for these planes, and links to more building information found throughout the World Wide Web.

We are now in our larger building. The 4100 square feet is supporting our transition to higher production rates and continuous development of other gliders.

DLG Production News

* Now accepting orders
for October build-to-order planes and components. We now have stock on many items.

* We have several slight seconds in stock and ready for delivery. These are ARF Kits, perfect flying gliders with a few small cosmetic imperfections.

* We are selling a few personal DLG gliders, RTF complete, and also a couple wings, RTF complete with option for fusepod and tail set.

* Tip Paint Options have expanded to include bottom paint (black) and same color tips
(all red or all blue).

* D47 RDS are now made with 1.5 mm yoke pins, which are larger and stronger than the previous pins. The new stronger control horn with Dymond D47 servos is perfect for RDS.
